EFCA East Governance Transition: Returning to Clause A
We are excited to share an important update about EFCA East’s governance structure. After much prayer, discussion, and with the blessing of EFCA President Carlton Harris and the Board of Directors, we are returning to Clause A governance.
Why This Matters
-
Local Accountability – Governance returns to EFCA East churches through our own nominated Board of Directors.
-
Streamlined for Local Needs – Decisions will better reflect the realities and opportunities of our district.
-
Financial Flexibility – Greater stewardship and adaptability for ministry.
-
Closer Engagement – More direct participation from and with our churches.
-
Less Red Tape, More Ministry – Freed up to focus on mission.
This move is not a step away from EFCA National, but rather a step closer to our churches. We remain committed to strong partnership with National while building a structure that best serves our district.
What’s Next
This transition will be made official with a vote at our ONE Voice EFCA East Leadership Conference in October.
